The School follows an Academic curriculum as per CBSE (upto Class XII) directives issued time to time. Sainik School prepares the boys for the following examinations:
- CBSE Secondary School Examination (Class X) and CBSE Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XII) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.
- Union Public Service Commission Examination for admission to the National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla, Pune & Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala.
- Cadets give NDA Entrance Examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission during the +2 stage after passing Class XI. Since there is an emphasis on Science Stream in the NDA curriculum, Sainik Schools cater only to the science stream subjects in Classes XI and XII. Besides academic advancement the students are encouraged to develop their creative faculties through co-curricular activities and Socially Useful Productive Work. They are also introduced systematically to all major games along with NCC training.

Note:
(i) The Board shall conduct examination in all subjects except General Studies, Work Experience, Physical and Health Education, which will be assessed internally by the school.
(ii) Similarly Computer Application and Art & Craft for Class X are subsidiary subjects.
